Community Drop-off for Homeless Veterans: Staten Island, NY

 In honor of Military Appreciation Month, VNSNY’s Veterans Program, in collaboration with Sunrise Senior Living of New Dorp Staten Island and Backpacks For Life, will help support Homeless and at risk Veterans. Beginning, May 1^st – May 20th, we ask our community partners to help us collect essential items that are attached to this email. These items will be distributed to these veterans in need through Backpacks For Life. Donations can be dropped off at Sunrise Senior Living of New Dorp in Staten Island beginning May 1st through May 20^th (470 New Dorp Ln, Staten Island, NY 10306, 718-355-3805) between normal business hours. You can also join us on May 20th as we celebrate the final day of donations at 2PM-4PM at the Sunrise Assisted Living of New Dorp site. Partners will pack donated items and send them off with the Backpacks For Life team. COVID friendly measures will be in place to ensure a safe and fun event!
