Progress for the military and veteran caregiving community requires boldness in action, policy, and priorities. We hope you will take that first bold step with us by registering for the 7th Annual National Convening! Join us on Wednesday, May 18th at 10 am ET, as the Elizabeth Dole Foundation and the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs host our annual National Convening, Bold Steps for the Future: Action, Policy, and Priorities. Together we will look to better the military caregiver experience in America and create impactful change for our nation’s hidden heroes, veterans, survivors, and their families. Presented by Philips, the National Convening will feature live remarks from Senator Elizabeth Dole. Elizabeth Dole Foundation CEO Steve Schwab will moderate a fireside chat with VA Deputy Secretary Donald M. Remy and Senior Advisor Meg Kabat for members of our community to hear directly from VA leadership and receive updates on the Program of Comprehensive Assistance for Family Caregivers (PCAFC). Virtual sessions will highlight advancements to support the military caregiver experience and the vision for our nation’s culture of care. We’ll also unveil pivotal announcements and partnerships to support our hidden heroes during key milestones in the caregiver journey, including how to care for an aging veteran and the transition from caregiver to survivor. Dr. Colleen Richardson, Executive Director of VA’s Caregiver Support Program will join subject-matter experts and caregivers for in-depth discussions. Join us as we provide clarity and show caregivers they don’t have to go through it alone. The event is free and open to all. REGISTER HERE |
